Looking for a Labubu from Switzerland poses a problem that French buyers do not encounter: most online shops ship from the European Union or Asia, and Switzerland is not part of either. As a result, the price paid upon arrival has very little to do with the one displayed at the time of ordering. Here is how to navigate this.
The trap of the displayed price: what a foreign package really costs
Switzerland is not in the EU. Any package coming from abroad therefore goes through customs, and three lines are added to the price of the product.
First, Swiss import VAT—8.1% at the standard rate. Next, and this is often the most painful part, the customs clearance fees charged by the carrier: depending on whether it is Swiss Post or an express carrier, they range from a few francs to several tens of francs. Finally, any potential customs duties depending on the nature of the goods.
In concrete terms, a figurine listed at €30 on a European site can end up costing you significantly more once it arrives. For an item under 50 francs, processing fees sometimes weigh as much as the product itself—this is a calculation many buyers only make after receiving it.
Coop, Migros, Manor: can you find Labubu in supermarkets?
This is the question many Swiss buyers are asking, and it deserves a clear answer rather than a marketing promise. Pop Mart distributes its figurines through its own channels: brand boutiques, vending machines, and the official website. General retail chains are not among them.
Retailers sometimes offer licensed items or products derived from related universes, but these are not the Pop Mart series that collectors are looking for. Before buying off the shelf, check for the presence of the Pop Mart logo and the authentication card: this is what distinguishes an official figurine from an inspired product.
In practice, in Switzerland, the purchase must go through an online reseller—hence the importance of choosing one carefully.
Buying from Switzerland: the real options
Pop Mart does not operate any physical stores in Switzerland. The brand's vending machines, which are very common in Asia and a few large European cities, do not cover Swiss territory either.
Three paths remain. Resellers established in Switzerland, who ship domestically: no customs, no handling fees, prices displayed in francs. This is our case, based in Geneva.
European boutiques, which seem cheaper but are subject to the import fees detailed above. And second-hand trade between Swiss collectors, which is interesting for sold-out series, but without guarantees or recourse.
Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich: the delivery question
A package shipped from Switzerland travels on the domestic network of the Swiss Post. Delivery times are measured in business days, not weeks, and tracking remains visible from departure to the mailbox.
This is the most concrete difference compared to a foreign order: no customs blockage, no notices requiring additional payment before the package is handed over.

Authenticity: the precaution that outweighs the price
The Labubu market is massively counterfeited. Collectors call these copies "Lafufu," some of which now reproduce the packaging and the authentication card.
Three checks remain reliable: the number of teeth—exactly nine on an authentic piece—the authentication QR code which must activate for the first time upon opening, and the vinyl face finish, which is almost always coarser on a copy.

Blind box or guaranteed color?
The blind box maintains the original principle: the box is opaque and the color is drawn at random from the series. This is what makes the collection addictive, but you do not get to choose.
